PEAT PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY

As previously stated, Richard Lambert and his sons were pioneers of the peat moss industry in North America. Their technology is based on natural drying and vacuum harvesting of the peat. This technology has now reach an unprecedented level of sophistication in answer to an increasingly knowledgeable and demanding market. Today, Lambert is a leader in the processing and commercialization of peat types and their by-products. By designing and building its own custom machinery, Lambert is able to address and solve processing problems that yield by-products of premium value. Some of these were unavailable to the market only a few years ago, whereas others like the PEAT HUMIC SUBSTANCES are totally new and exclusive to Lambert. Therefore, Lambert is capable of all kinds of physical and structural peat processing, allowing for the production and commercialization of the most diversified range of structural peat products available on the market. Lambert uses these exact same peat products which are currently commercialized as such, as ingredients in the production of its peat-based growing mixes, because we believe they are professional grade material. Lambert has also developed a unique peat MACRO-MOLECULAR TECHNOLOGY, which allows for the production of horticultural peat by-products of premium value, exclusive to Lambert.

PEAT MIXES TECHNOLOGY

For the last decade, Lambert has been offering retail growing mixes known as Lambert READY TO USE POTTING MIX and professional growing mix under the brand name GREEN FORMULA. These horticultural products have shown an increasing popularity year after year, because of their unequalled uniformity, consistency and reliability. The quality and performance of these mixes relate to our peat processing technology, our unique mixing technology and our quality control.

RETAIL MARKET GROWING MIXES (READY TO USE)

The growing mix industry will enter the third millenium with a strong tendency of over-segmenting the retail "growing mix" market, offering in some cases the exact same product under different vocational denominations, or trying to commercialize nonsense products. Lambert believes that the retail market deserves just as much respect as that of professional growers. For this reason we have decided to supply the retail market with a series of tailor-made mixes covering all the major needs encountered in home gardening and horticulture. This has been done without falling into the trap of nonsense products, duplication and over-segmentation. Our retail line of mixes is presented in a very attractive photo-process packaging concept, bearing a straightforward description, because at Lambert we have nothing to hide about our product composition, and we present their potential and usage simply as it is.

PROFESSIONAL GROWING MIXES (GREEN FORMULA)

Our professional line has been designed to facilitate the grower's work by providing them with mixes they would have had to prepare themselves anyway. We know that growers are used to growing their crops using only a few different mix formulations, adjusting their watering and fertilization schedule accordingly. For this reason, Lambert offers only the basic and essential formulations needed for professional growing operations, in compressed 3.8 cu. ft. bales and loose 3 cu. ft. bags. These formulations are subjected to Lambert quality control procedures, and therefore present the highest degree of uniformity and consistency. Our GREEN FORMULA line is offered with a technical back-up service, graciously supplied by our professional staff.
